To celebrate London Fashion Week and drawing on their passion for culinary storytelling, Hackney culinary consultancy Cake Liberation have created The Young Radicals collection. This new range of gourmet wellness patisserie are filled with plant‐based ingredients that are rich in antioxidants and crammed with healthy goodness. Food for fashion that is bursting with style, attitude and flavour.
Each patisserie contains vegetables and fruits rich in antioxidants, and other authentic ingredients such as arctic blueberries, Sea Buckthorn, coconut nectar, spirulina, Matcha green tea from Postcard Teas, pink Himalayan salt, sweet potatoes, acai berries, beetroots and quinoa. These revitalising, energy boosting superfood heroes combine to deliver an intense, rich taste discovery. The selection includes cakes that are gluten, wheat, sugar, egg and dairy free, all using natural colours and flavourings.
The accompanying campaign shoot created by Agenda of Visual Marvelry, was shot at the Hoxton Hotel and introduces our very own Young Radicals. It’s about kids with attitude, leaders of the new school changing perceptions about food with vegetables. These children are pioneers, they embody the qualities of discovery, a willingness to embrace new ideas, and remind us that wellbeing can be fostered in creative play and exploration. Be virtuous and victorious like these pioneers!

Natasha previously worked in marketing for the non-profit sector, but became disgruntled
by the bureaucracy. Her original ambition was to launch a beauty and well being service under the business mentorship of several City mentors. After a frustrating period doing battle with her web designer she turned to baking for creative solace. Gastronomic delight changed her day, and conjured a new territory to apply her creativity and enterprising talents.
Cake Liberation is in my creative DNA! It is an expression of my values and my contribution to the world of food. Food represents nourishment, social engagement – bringing people together through cake, sensory enjoyment and shared discovery. COUTURE CAKE ATELIER
A new era of cake, we are here to challenge cake perceptions by offering more than an guilty sweet fix. As the recipient of several Great Taste Awards since 2013, we are about originating, conceiving and designing couture cake experiences. The quest for the ultimate flavour release never stops! From our inception as an emergent new brand we have always pursued innovation, discovery, passion, and creativity. Flavour and authenticity reign supreme, we always aim to champion conventional notions of cake.
Our cakes are imbued with a strident character and have a unique, flavoursome personality. ‘Lemon Rebel’ is a two fingered salute at austerity, with it’s fresh ginger curd and silver leaf adornment, whilst Great Taste winner ‘Red Volutionary’ is the people’s favourite; Valhrona chocolate, raspberry and hibiscus couli paired with Madagascan vanilla bean creme.
Our cakes represent a discerning, indulgent and unique approach to sourcing the very finest natural ingredients to ensure authenticity; using only free range eggs, fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables and creating cake elements from scratch, such as our salted caramel and ginger curd. Cake Liberation even make their own baking powder, because regular powder has aluminium in it, and we avoid that unwanted metallic taste!
A bespoke afternoon tea experience, developed in collaboration with Postcard Teas for luxury food experiences. Postcard Teas are Mayfair purveyors of the world’s finest tea from small tea plantations. They have a worldwide reputation for their superior quality, ethical approach and humility, with customers like Fera at Claridges and The Woseley. We love their passion and knowledge of great tea and enjoyed working with them to create an experience that pairs their teas delightfully with C’est Libertie’s cakes.
The Summer couture cake collection is conjured from ‘A Garden of Discovery’ and is inspired by vibrant seasonal colours and a sense of free adventure. There are six cakes, each one plays a distinguished role in this journey of taste with two teas selected to reflect and complement the conceptual experience. Together both tea and cake form a culinary exploration. Flavour and taste sensations take on a fresh lease of life. They become invigorating and transformative experiences.
The experience begins with Cacao Conquest, a rich and intense dessert and ends with Raspberry Wanderlust; a light and refreshing palate cleanser that perfectly punctuates this luxury afternoon tea.
The C’est Libertie Scrutiny Panel
The C’est Libertie Scrutiny Panel came to together at the final stage for critical evaluation, a culmination of a detailed and objective creative review of the afternoon tea experience. The perfect opportunity to test the Cake Liberation methodology for the creation of all food experiences. This was more than congeniality, our panel came together and sparked intense and thoughtful discussion about the science, sensory design and the cognition of C’est Libertie’s Summer collection.

LDNY The Emporium of Creativity;
A couture cake concept created for LDNY to inspire creativity and innovation.
Liberty hosted an evening of congeniality for LDNY, where fashion, philanthropy and craftsmanship came together to celebrate the creative flair of The Legacy Collection, created by students from Parsons School of Fashion and the London College of Fashion. Guests were chauffeur driven in Maserati cars and participated in revolutionary tweet technology; Woodpecker.
Cake Liberation designed four original couture cakes for the event. We worked closely with Cointreau to ensure the cakes matched in flavour the two variations of Cointreau Fizz cocktails served on the night.
Couture cakes served at the event were; Cointreau Creative Conquest,Orange Berry Cardinal Delight, Pistachio Jewel in the Carre,and Pineapple Pomelo Virtuoso.

This Christmas Cake Liberation delivers the unexpected with a celebration of the Nordic climes, inspired by the luminescent Northern Lights, the shadow of Winter solstice that cloaks this joyful season and the festive spirit of Danish Hygge! Cake Liberation invokes a mysterious Nordic Christmas with an enchanting selection of flavourful products, which include their award winning Christmas fruit cake and truffles, and macarons with an ambrosial nordic twist, ideal for sharing! All deliver immense flavour that continue long after the last bite!
The Great Taste awarded Christmas cake has unparalleled flavour and a divine moist crumb with a fine blend of aromatic spices, and lush vine ripened fruit macerated in a heady mix of fine port and Jamaica’s finest Wray and Nephew rum. Made and decorated by hand this cake is finished with natural marzipan, fondant icing and stunning gold leaf flourish. Christmas fruit cake truly does not get much better than this. The light and chewy Nordic macarons include dark and intense activated charcoal with caramelised honey and toasted almonds , and Madagascan vanilla cinnamon with a marzipan vanilla Skyr mousse.
